LADY MARLINS FALL 79-75 TO EMORY & HENRY

Sallie Lefler scored 25 points as Emory & Henry snapped a two-game losing streak with a 79-75 win over Virginia Wesleyan in a Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's game Saturday.

Leanna Lillefloren led Virginia Wesleyan (8-13, 6-11 ODAC) with 24 points, 19 in the first half, and 10 rebounds. Samantha Green added 20 points and nine rebounds and Amy Shindle nine points and five assists for the Lady Marlins.

Emory & Henry (13-8, 12-6) made 41 percent of its field-goal tries, up from 33 percent in the two losses. Angie Simpkins had 13 points and seven assists for the Lady Wasps, who led 38-33 at the half.
