R. ZANE WARD

Raymond Zane Ward, 49, died Saturday Feb. 15, 1997, in Maryview Hospital.

A native of Portsmouth, he was employed by the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and previously with Naval Aviation Depot as an equipment specialist supervisor. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Susan L. Ward; a brother, David and wife, Carole Ward of Norfolk; mother-in-law, Audrey Branon and father-in-law, Lee Branon; a sister-in-law, Shirley Howels; a brother-in-law, Bernie Branon; a nieces and three nephews; and many close and dear friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve Bingham. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
