ROBERT E. WHITE

Robert Edward White, of the 3600 block of Wedgefield Ave., died Feb. 13, 1997, in his residence.

Born in Princess Anne County, he was the widower of Beulah Hawkins White and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, participating as a member of the board of trustees and a Sunday School teacher. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three daughters, Diane Price of New York, Francine Atkins and Robinette White, both of Norfolk; a son, Starling Staton of San Diego; a sister, Juliet Bynoe of Bronx, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends; and a sister-in-law, Frannie Taylor Smith.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Jerusalem Baptist Church by the Rev. Bernie L. Jacobs. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. The remains will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. The family will assemble at 3651 Wedgefield Ave. at noon for the procession.
