MILDRED E. HARCUM

Mildred Elizabeth Harcum, 86, of the 4900 block of Manning Court, died March 3, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Rich Square, N.C., she was the widow of Orris Drewery Harcum Sr. and a member of Taylor Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Baker of Lindale, Texas, Phyllis Bilskis of Chesapeake; five sons, Orris D. Harcum Jr. of Denton, Texas, Jerry W. Harcum of Suffolk, Raymond C. Harcum of China Grove, N.C., Roger Harcum of Chesapeake, Richard D. Harcum of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a brother, Walter C. Outland Jr. of Four Oaks, N.C.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. Mel Kunkle. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
