OLIVE R. GARDNER

Olive Ruth Gardner, 67, of the 1300 block of Shenandoah Parkway, died March 3, 1997, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Ruth Wright Sedgwick.

She was born Dec. 30, 1929, in Elizabeth City, N.C. She was the widow of the late Leonard T. Gardner. Mrs. Gardner was retired from the Virginia Beach school system after teaching for 35 years. She was a member of Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sullivan of Chesapeake and Debbie Richardson of Virginia Beach, and two grandchildren, Kathlyn Richardson of Virginia Beach and Travis Sullivan of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Twiford Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Robin Wooddell. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
