WILLIAM F. HOGGARD JR.

William Frank Hoggard Jr. of the 200 block of Dexter St. died March 8, 1997, in a local hospital.

An engineer for Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 35 years, he was retired and a Bethel, N.C., native. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley. He was the son of the late Lillie Hoggard and William Hoggard Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Hoggard; daughter, Sandra Hoggard Hall of Chesapeake; two sisters, Christine Lawrence of Chesapeake and Helen Hoggard of Norfolk; two brothers, Alvin Hoggard of Chesapeake and Edward Hoggard of Rockaway Beach, N.Y.; grandson, Clinton Hall Jr.; a great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Berkley, by the Rev. William F. Tyree Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The family and friends will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. for the procession to the church. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
