WALTER D. DUNN

Walter Duff Dunn, 76, of the 2600 block of Berkley Ave. Extd., died Thursday, March 27, 1997, at Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Dunn was born in Aurora, N.C., and was a retired heavy equipment mechanic for Higgerson & Buchanan. He was also a member of AARP. He was the son of the late Daniel Duff Dunn and Viola Mae Hodges. He was predeceased by his wife, Clydia May Brinn, and a son, Walter Ray Dunn.

He is survived by a son, Charles M. Dunn and his wife, Shirley; four grandchildren, Gerald M. Price of Monroe, N.C., Sandra P. Baldridge of Roanoke, Joyce P. Moore of Asheboro, N.C., Chani Melea McFetridge of Virginia Beach; and also six great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Twiford Funeral Home by the Rev. Henry Napier. Burial will follow in the Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge.
