MARY M. BABB

Mary Munford Babb, 76, of the 500 block of S. High St. died May 8, 1997. Mrs. Babb was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Allie Gay Munford. She was a 1966 graduate of the Southampton Memorial Hospital LPN School and was a retired LPN from the hospital. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Drewry VanZand Bergen and her husband, Dutchy, of Newport News and Connie Babb Reitz and her husband, Jack, of Williamsburg; three sons, Michael Thomas Drewry and his wife, Alice, of Windsor, David Leon Drewry and his wife, Tina, and Oscar Wynn Babb and his wife, Dinah, both of Franklin; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; she was predeceased by a brother, Carl Munford.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Franklin Baptist Church Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Roy DeBrand. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the home of Oscar and Dinah Babb, 411 N. High St., and suggests that memorials may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Senior Group or a local SPCA. Wright Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
