GEORGE W. WATSON

George Willie Watson, 76, of the 1300 block of Forge St. passed away in his home May 11, 1997.

A native of New Bern, N.C., he was retired from Beamon & Lassiter Trucking Co. and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a wife, Eva Watson; sister, Doris Williams; three daughters, Georgette Watson, Delissa Allen and Diane Hinton; son, Angelo Watson; five grandchildren, Latrese Whitehurst, Cherelle Allen, Kareem Thompson, Derrick Palmer and Rick Palmer Jr.; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Graves Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
