WALLACE E. ANDREWS

Wallace Earl Andrews, 73, of the 1300 block of E. Little Creek Road, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, in a local hospital.

A foreman in the transportation department of the Public Works Center of Norfolk Naval Base, he retired after 33 years. He was a native of Harnett County, N.C., and a member of Norview Baptist Church. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Norfolk Lodge No. 39, Hampton Roads Moose Legionarre Chapter 99, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and AARP. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Worell Andrews of Norfolk; son, Ronald E. Andrews of Norfolk; sisters, Mable Boulfiant of Hampton and Vivian Bunn of Richmond; one brother, Alvin L. Andrews of Newport News.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Steve Crane of Calvary Baptist Church, Newport News. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, at 12:30 p.m. The family will greet friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
