BENJAMIN HERBST

Benjamin Herbst, infant, of the 1100 block of Hawthorne Drive, died May 28, 1997, in Portsmouth.

Born in Portsmouth, he was the son of Lowell and Wendy Herbst of Chesapeake. Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Charles and Beverly Gorham of Quitman, Ark.; paternal grandparents, John and Laura Herbst of Copperas Cove, Texas; maternal great-grandmother, Marjorie Hare of Detroit, Mich.; paternal great-grandparents, Leland and Goldie Leber of Windsor, Colo.; aunts and uncles, Tracey and Nathan Potratz, Elizabeth and Greg Stineman, Amy and Perry Judd, Richard Hare, Sarah Herbst and John Herbst; and cousins, Ashley and Joshua Judd and Kelsey and Allison Potratz. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Dale Hare.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Mitchell Harrison. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is in charge. The family will receive friends there from 4 to 6 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
