DORIS J. MAYO

Doris Jean Mayo of the 3200 block of Hancock Drive died May 30, 1997. Ms. Mayo attended Rock Church of Virginia Beach. She was employed for more than 20 years at the Norfolk Ford Motor Co.

She is survived by her six children, Lucinda Parker of Virginia Beach, Leonard Mayo Jr., Melvin Mayo, Darrell Mayo, Jacqueline Mayo and Christopher Mayo, all of Chesapeake; sister, Ann Huggins; two brothers, Barry and Quintin Huggins of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren; an uncle; a great-aunt; two nieces; a nephew; a godsister; godchildren; and a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, and at the home of Ms. Lucinda Parker, Virginia Beach. A service will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Rock Church, Virginia Beach. Interment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Rock Church Building Fund. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
