CARROLL A. THOMAS JR.

Carroll A. Thomas Jr., 71, of Spring Hill and a former resident of Chesapeake for 62 years, died June 12, 1997, in Florida.

Mr. Thomas was retired as owner/operator of Thomas Service Center after 32 years. He was a member of Aripeka Baptist Church and American Legion Post 400 in Tallahassee. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Thomas; three daughters, Shirley Kraus, Carolyn Spence and Martha Alston, all of Chesapeake; two sons, Aubrey Thomas and Joe Worsham, both of Spring Hill; a sister, Elizabeth Markham of Chesapeake; a brother, Max Thomas of Conway, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by the Rev. David Libengood. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at other times at 549 Scarborough Drive, Chesapeake. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
