ALBERT P. HASS

Retired U.S. Navy Capt. Albert Pershing Hass, DDS, 79, of the 400 block of Parker Road died Sunday, July 20, 1997, in Norfolk.

Capt. Hass was born in York, Pa., and was the son of the late Harry and Meda Marie Day Hass. He was the widower of Jean Elizabeth Ross Hass and was predeceased by his two sons, John H. Hass and Robert A. Hass. Capt. Hass was a graduate of Ursinus College and Temple University School of Dentistry, both in Pennsylvania. Capt. Hass was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, retiring after 30 years of service, after which Capt. Hass served the Suffolk Public Health District for 10 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Cathy E. Hatfield of Chesapeake; son, William S. Hass of Franklin, Mass.; five grandchildren, Michael, John, Jennifer, Cara and Peter.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
