TALMAGE E. GRUNDLER

Talmage E. ``Jack'' Grundler, 72, died Aug. 18, 1997.

A native of Ceredo, W.Va., he had retired from the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class, and was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea. He also was a retired civil service employee and a member of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Exchange Club and American Legion Post No. 105, Bethesda, Md.

Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Grundler; daughter, Anna Lee Triantafillos of Columbia, Md.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Lee Fields of Virginia Beach; a son, Michael Lee Grundler of Virginia Beach; sister, Catherine Pope of Ashland, Ky.; brother, John M. Grundler of Fairfax, Va.; grandchildren, Bonnie Marie Wright of Frederick, Md., Brian Paul Triantafillos of Elkton, Md., Christopher Michael Grundler and Steven Lee Grundler of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. A graveside service will be conducted in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashland, Saturday at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Child Abuse Prevention Center, 1801 S.
