CHARLIE MAE PYATT

Charlie Mae Pyatt, 80, made her transition Aug. 21, 1997.

She was born in Maryland and was the widow of Walter Pyatt. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Norfolk, where she was very active in the choirs, the usher board and other auxiliaries.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Holland of Norfolk and Leroy Holland of Suffolk; four grandchildren, Evelyn Holland of New York, Leroy Holland Jr. of Virginia Beach and Sabra and Walter Holland of Suffolk; seven great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Berkley Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. William Tyree III. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Chatman Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
