Clarence B. Morris, of the 900 block of Vermont Ave., died Aug. 22, 1997, in Maryview Hospital.
He was a native of Portsmouth and a retired mechanic with 33 years of service at Norfolk Naval Air Station. Mr. Morris was a past member of Mount Hermon Baptist Temple, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine V. Morris; two daughters, Beverly Bowens and Linda Beasley, both of Portsmouth; three sons, Alfred C. Smith of Portsmouth, Donald W. Morris of Baltimore, Md., and Clarence A. Morris of Springfield, Va.; two sisters, Ann Copeland of New York City and Dorothy Mayo of Portsmouth; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery by Dr. N. Lamont Newsome. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
