FLORENCE T. FUTRELL

Florence Tucker Futrell, 62, of the 400 block of N. Wynn St., died Aug. 23, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was a native of Hertford County and a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, the Woman's Division of Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce, the Murfreesboro Historical Association and the Historical Properties Commission. Mrs. Futrell retired as a self-employed homemaker and bookkeeper.

Survivors include her husband, William C. Futrell; a daughter, Amy E. Futrell of Murfreesboro; three sons, William C. Futrell Jr. and wife, Karen of Nashville, N.C., Charles E. Futrell and his wife, Denise, of Murfreesboro, Andrew S. Futrell and wife, Lauren, of Woodstock, Ga.; her mother, Fannie Mae Futrell of Murfreesboro; a sister, Faye Gaudette and husband, Roy, of Henrico, N.C.; two brothers, Harold Tucker Jr. and wife, Dedelphia, Wayne Tucker and his wife, Debbie, all of Murfreesboro; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro by Dr. Davis Smith and the Rev. Thomas Caulkins. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Garrett Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Murfreesboro Rescue Squad or the Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, N.C. 27855. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
