EARL M. BERRY

Earl Mansfield Berry, 66, of the 500 block of Kempsville Road, died Aug. 29, 1997.

He was a native of Chesapeake and a member of the Hickory United Methodist Church. He retired from the City of Chesapeake Fire Department as a captain with 25 years service. He also worked for the Norfolk Ford Assembly Plant for 13 years previous to his employment as a fireman. He was a Coast Guard Reservist. After retiring, he worked as a people greeter at the Wal-Mart on Battlefield Boulevard.

He is survived by his wife, Norma K. Berry and two sons, Bradford E. Berry and Brian K. Berry, all of Chesapeake; and a host of family members.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Rosewood Chapel of Kellum Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas Mercer. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
