EVELYN W. CAMPBELL

Evelyn Mae Whaley Campbell of the 1000 block of McKinley Ave. died Sept. 11, 1997.

Born in South Norfolk, Va., she was a homemaker and a member of Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and the Friendship Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 57.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald E. Campbell Jr. of the residence; a daughter, Patricia Campbell Vann of Chesapeake; a sister, Helen Whaley Johnson of Norfolk; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Nora Albertson Whaley and George W. Whaley, and brother, George W. Whaley Jr.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Raleigh Heights Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Penny Wilson and the Rev. Henry Napier. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel.
