GROVER L. MOORE

Grover L. Moore M.D., of the 4200 block of Winchester Drive, died Sept. 16, 1997, in his residence.

A Portsmouth native, he was a retired physician and a member of Seventh Day Adventist.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen I. Moore; two daughters, Luanne Moore Cross and her husband, Laurence N. Cross D.D.S., Virginia Moore Hodder and her husband, Donald G. Hodder D.D.S., all of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Kathy Hovis Schoonover and husband, Steve, Beth Hovis Cross and husband, A. Donald, Marilynn Cross Schander and her husband, Roger, Beverly Cross Curles and husband, Archie, Leanne Cross Gordon and husband, Douglas; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Schander, Maryann Schander, Jeremy Schander, Jered Schander, Laura Curles, Caroline Curles, W. Donald Cross and Brian D. Cross; a stepson, Eugene Hall and stepdaughters, Carol Thompson and Lois Wilson. He was predeceased by his first wife, Wilmeta K. Moore and a son-in-law, Douglas Hovis.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Rex Frost. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Viewing will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
