DELORES J. NIXON

Delores J. ``Miss Lois'' Nixon, 52, of the 800 block of Godwin St., died Sept. 21, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.

A native of Portsmouth, she was a past member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Eloise Nixon of Portsmouth; six sons, Shelton Nixon, Eric Nixon, Ricky Nixon, Carlos Nixon, Jermaine Nixon, Anthony Nixon, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Willie Mae Daniels of Portsmouth; five brothers, James Watson, Vernon Watson, Ronnie Watson, Michael Watson and Atren Watson, all of Portsmouth; 27 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; an aunt, Willie Mae Watson of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Garden of Prayer No. 4, Church of God in Christ, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Charles Hicks. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Sunday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Monday.
