POLICE INVESTIGATING REPORT OF RAPE AT PARTY

Police are investigating the alleged rape of a 19-year-old woman.

They are searching for two suspects in connection with the incident, which reportedly occurred in the early morning hours last Tuesday.

The victim was allegedly approached by two white males as she walked on the beach about 3:30 a.m. The two men invited her to a party at a beachfront cottage on South Virginia Dare Trail.

She accompanied them to the house, where a small party was in progress. At that point, police said, the men asked her into a back bedroom, where she allegedly was attacked.

The two suspects were described as being between 20 and 25 years old. One is of medium build, with blond hair and blue eyes. The other is also of medium build, with dark complexion, black hair and a mustache.

Other than that, police have little to go on, Lt. Bill Walker said.

``Everything that we have, we've released to the public,'' Walker said. ``We are hoping that the information we have will jog somebody's memory and provide some leads for us.''
