ANNE G. WILLIAMS

Anne Lee Goodloe Williams, 72, died Oct. 2, 1997, in her residence.

Anne was a graduate of Mary Washington College and the College of William & Mary with an M.A. Anne was a master teacher who retired after 32 years of teaching. She taught in Ohio, Richmond abd Chesterfield County schools, and in the Virginia Beach Public Schools at John B. Dey Elementary, Kellam and Princess Anne high schools. She was a member of Eastern Shore Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach.

She was an inspiration to family, friends and strangers. Her faith, graciousness, strength and loving attitude will be missed by all. She lived life to the fullest. Her greatest contributions to this community was her love for others.

Survivors include her husband, Kim Brooks Williams; a daughter, Anne Maury Joy, and her husband, Richard Joy of Virginia Beach; a son, Brooks Williams of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren, Richard Ryan Joy and Matthew Maury Joy of Virginia Beach; a sister, Betty Evans; and a brother, John Allan Goodloe, both of Urbana, Va.

A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at Eastern Shore Episcopal Church by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. Burial will be at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 20 Koger Executive Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502. H.D.
