JOHN F. REGAN

John Francis Regan, 68, of the 4600 block of Truman Lane died Oct. 13, 1997, in a local hospital.

Born in Waverly, N.Y., he had retired as a lieutenant commander from the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Virginia Beach, and South Norfolk Masonic Lodge No. 339, Khedive Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite Bodies, Chesapeake Shrine Club, Khedive Motor Patrol and Aragona Moose Lodge No. 1198.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia R. Regan; two daughters, Lee Battle and her husband, Anthony, of White Lake, Mich., and Beth Ventress and her husband, Danny, of Livonia, Mich.; two sisters, Audrey Reed of Virginia Beach and Jean Churchill of Nicholas, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Paul L. Kettner. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Khedive Shrine Temple, 646 Woodlake Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23320. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
