That's what the Roanoke Chapter of the Virginia Police Benevolent Association is saying about the incident that left police officer William Boucher (Boo-Shay) on administrative leave... after shooting a man who apparently would not pull over.

Fazio is describing Boucher's version of what happened last month when the officer tried to pull over 38 year old Wilbert Wesley Lewis on Patton Avenue. Boucher was put on administrative leave but was back on the job a short time later. That led Martin Jeffrey with the NAACP to voice concerns about the officer being back on the job. Help may be on the way to a financially-strapped Southside hospital.
Patrick County's Board of Supervisors met for nearly five hours today -

The hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy two months ago and has since cut its workforce by 20 percent.

An attorney for the hospital says the board decided tonight to allow the Industrial Development Authority to negotiate with the bank that currently holds the hospital's loan.
If negotiations are successful, the hospital would be indebted to the I-D-A, NOT a bank.

Charlotte police are investigating a car crash that resulted in the death of Charlotte Hornet guard Bobby Phills.

Police say the 30 year old Phills was driving his Porsche at a high rate of speed when his car collided with another vehicle a half mile from the Charlotte Coliseum where the Hornets play.
A police spokesman said fellow Hornet David Wesley may have been driving to fast too. His white Porsche was not involved in the accident.
Two other people received minor injuries in the accident.

The St. Louis rams are walking away with many of the N-F-L post season honors.

Today, The league named Rams running back Marshall Faulk the offensive player of the year.
The Rams acquired Faulk from the Indianapolis Colts last spring. He's only the second player in league history to gain 1-thousand yards rushing and 1-thousand yards receiving in the same season.
Faulk rushed for over 13-hundred yards and seven touchdowns. He added 87 receptions for over a thousand yards for 2-thousand 429 yards total an N-F-L record.
Rams quarterback Kurt Warner was voted the league's most valuable player.
