A Roanoke mother is dead - after her boyfriend apparently shot her while her two children were still in the house.

It happened shortly after 3-30 this afternoon at a home in the 800 block of Kellogg Avenue, Northwest.
Police say it appears that 32 year old Tyrone Turpin shot 33 year-old Linda Miller several times and then turned the gun on himself- taking his own life.
Authorities say the couple had been arguing.
Miller's two young children ran next door and asked a neighbor to call police.
Miller died an hour later at the hospital.
