(( With few surprises expected in the frontrunner category the focus of attention is not so much on who will WIN the Iowa caucuses but who will LOSE, and by how much.
Republican Steve Forbes has matched George W. Bushs massive spending here in Iowa, but has been losing ground.

He was always predicted to come in second, which to him would be a victory.

But a DISTANT second, could be viewed as a loss. Were coming into the last hours before the caucus

It is a similar story for the Democratic runner up, Bill Bradley who has publicly stated hed be happy with only 31 percent of the vote meaning a rejection by 7 in ten caucus goers.
Now it appears he wont even get that still a second place finish, but not a sound one.
But the favorites werent taking any chances. George W. Bush continues to worry about voter turnout.
GEORGE W. BUSH the only thing thats going to deter voter is complacency
And Al Gore although more relaxed about his commanding lead knows a weak FIRST place showing could be just as devastating as a strong SECOND place one and took to a Cedar Rapids high school to urge young voters to join the old. GORE You can turn it around, your generation.))

Implants of a fairly new type of heart valve are being stopped.
The valve's silver coating may occasionally cause it to leak.
St. Jude Medical is recalling inventories of the Silzone valves that have not been implanted.
Valves already placed in patients will not be recalled.
Company managers say the chance of leakage is not great enough to warrant removing the devices.
It does recommend that patients should be monitored regularly by their doctors.
About two percent of the valves leaked.
If you had heart surgery at either Roanoke Memorial or Lewis- Gale Hospital, you can rest easy. Neither hospital
