A new study from Harvard shows men going bald on the top of their heads have a 36% higher risk of heart disease compared to men with a full head of hair. A receding hairline, losing it in the front, does not apparently make a difference in heart disease risk. The reason for all of this; higher levels of testosterone-like chemicals which are bad for hair and evidently for the heart as well.
VT=VO
Also today, important information about an artificial heart valve. A Minnesota company has stopped the use of a new val

ve that's coated with silver. The silver is intended to cut down the risk of infection after the valve goes in. The valve is called the St. Jude's Silizone Coating Valve. The regular St. Jude's valves are okay but even if you have the silizone valve, don't panic. The risk of leak is two percent. For other valves its one percent. The F-D-A says just keep in touch with your doctor for routine testing to make sure there is no leaking. ON CAM And finally, what's more powerful than a locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet and painless enough so that even the toughest people wont feel a little bit faint. Its not a regular needle but a new needle that uses helium gas to give you the injection at 17 hundred miles per hour. That's twice the speed of sound.
