A downtown Danville bank was robbed this morning.

Police say a man jumped over the counter at the Peoples Bank on Market Street, took some money from a teller's drawer, leaped back over the counter and ran away.
He didn't have a weapon; no one was hurt.
Police say the suspect is about five feet, ten inches tall, with a stocky build.
He was wearing a green stocking cap, and a plaid or dark overcoat.

A scary landing for passengers on board a Continental jet heading into New Jersey.

The jet skidded off the runway at Newark International Airport- and ended up stuck in a snowbank.
The Flight was coming in from Charlotte, North Carolina.
None of the 32 people aboard Flight 17-91 was injured.
According to the Port authority the cause of the accident remains unclear at this time.
The incident closed the airport for about 20 minutes this morning-

New York City is training welfare recipients to become telephone psychics.
The New York Times says the city is offering the job training to get people off welfare and into jobs with the Psychic Network.
Since April, 15 people have been hired as telephone clairvoyants at about 10 dollars an hour plus bonuses and that has some self described psychics upset.
One said that the city has no business training people who aren't really psychic to work the phones.
She said some of the people calling the 900 numbers have problems that not even a soap opera can list and they shouldn't be asking someone who is only interested in money for advice.

Burger King plans to run a national ad campaign to get the word out about the recall of its Pokemon toys.
This after a four month old boy in Indianapolis suffocated in his crib when half of the hollow ball covered his mouth and nose.
There was a similar death of an infant in California last month.
The toys were already recalled once, but the government felt another recall was in order following the latest death.
More than 25 million toys were handed out with Burger King children's meals last year.
