The current ownership is what 29-doctors have blamed for their resignations this month.
The Lewis-Gale Clinic is owned and managed by PhyCor, a company based in Nashville.
Doctors leaving the clinic accuse PhyCor of mismanagement.
This weekend, PhyCor's CEO and three other executives came to Salem from PhyCor headquarters in Nashville.
On the agenda was finding a way to stabilize the clinic and stop more doctors from leaving.
One way to do that is cutting ties to PhyCor.
