The price tag for burying hazardous waste at the Roanoke Public Works Service Center has increased by a half a million dollars.
Yesterday, city council approved a settlement with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality that calls for a civil penalty and community service.

Rebecca was shot in a neighbor's driveway by David Wayne Sams as she and her children returned from church.

Sheriff Wayne Manning says David Sams was under a protective order and was a week away from being tried for abusing her.

It reportedly developed just after the bus passed by.
As the road broke up - it apparently broke the water main.
