Last night, the Franklin County Planning Commission approved a plan that would allow the construction of retail shops, restaurants, and a marina, as well as a 96 unit condominium complex.
Supporters of the plan are excited about the job opportunities and additional boat slots, while opponents think the development would ruin the landscape.
The Board of Supervisors will vote on the plan Tuesday.
