Not everyone could fit into the chapel, but the family of Tara Rose Munsey says tonight that around 1200 people signed their names at the funeral of the murdered teen.
That turnout and the final goodbye, nearly three weeks after Munsey was reported missing.

And, for many people, that's what makes her murder so hard to understand.
Tara's body was found last Thursday night, shot several times and abandoned in a ditch... nearly six miles from the Taco Bell where she was last seen January 25th.
And, now with physical evidence from the crime scene to guide them, investigators are moving ahead in the search for her killer. And Tara's 1977 Plymouth Volare, custom-painted just days before she disappeared, led the funeral procession.

Students at Columbine High have already endured the loss of 14 students and a teacher. Today they learned two more students are dead - killed by gunfire.

The bodies of 15 year old Nicholas (Kuns-illmen) Kunselman who worked in the Subway shop and his girlfriend, 16 year old Stephanie Hart were found by another employee who was driving by and noticed the lights still on in the store, three hours after the normal closing time.

Wytheville Town Council paved the way for big-bucks retailers to move into town tonight.
Town Council voted unanimously following a public hearing to rezone farm land into commercial land.
The vote will allow a Wal-Mart Super Center to move in.
It was a controversial debate. Many townspeople had opposed the move, saying a large retailer could drive out small businesses.

A dispute over finances between the city of Buena Vista and the school board led to the Superintendent making a controversial statement.
In a private conversation, Superintendent James Bradford reportedly told city manager Dan Collins the city should just accept the fact that the schools were going to get athletic facilities no matter what.

Last night Craig County would try to win it's second straight Pioneer District Volleyball tournament crown, but James River stood in the way.
