A two- day search ended last night when eight- year- old Jackie Holden's body was found in a ravine about four miles from her home near Shipman.

Thomas says his son told him he was a suspect in the crime but says he never acted worried... but admits his son is a man of few words.
However, Jeff's stepmother, Martha, says Jeff looked her in the eye and told her he was innocent.

The 31-year old defendant waved his preliminary hearing today, but the prosecutor says Casteel has made certain statements to the investigator working the case.
Casteel is accused of cutting the brake line on the family vehicle. It was cut with a knife in three places, says Commonwealth's Attorney Gino Williams. The prosecutor says "Casteel's own statements" link him to the crime, though Williams won't elaborate.
Casteel is also charged with child neglect, because the three children were in the van with KIMBERLY Casteel when the brakes failed as she was backing down their steep driveway.
