The Republican primary is next Tuesday. As the day approaches, George W. Bush is finding his strongest Virginia support in our part of the Commonwealth.
That's the finding of a News 7 poll released today.

The poll of 621 likely Virginia voters by Mason-Dixon research shows 48 per cent favor Bush statewide, 37 per cent are for McCain.
Bush gets the most support in western and southwest Virginia .. 57 per cent, almost double McCain's 29.
Bush also does well in central and southside Virginia .. 54 per cent, to McCain's 31.

Two girls.. one 17 years old, the other 12.. have been arrested and charged with making two bomb threats at Heritage High School in Lynchburg this week.

Swimming is usually the last thing we think about when it comes to winter sports. But the Cave Spring boy's swim team made its mark this past weekend by winning the school's first state aquatics title.
