For the staff of a local television station, it can be one of the hardest stories to cover. A news helicopter crashed and burned in a Miami suburb Friday, killing both people on board.

(SOT)

The helicopter used by NBC station WTVJ was being used to cover a bus accident. Early reports say the chopper was 50 feet from another aircraft when the pilot attempted to make a high-bank turn. That's when the rear tail appeared to break off. But other witnesses say the helicopter just fell out of the sky.

(SOT)

The chopper crashed in a small traffic circle in a residential neighborhood, killing both the pilot and a photographer for WTVJ. No one on the ground was hurt. Meanwhile investigators aren't sure what caused the accident of a news helicopter seen more and more in the skies of the nation's biggest cities.
