((Just a day after landing a Super Tuesday Knockout Punch to Senator John McCain, George W. Bush seemed itching for a fight. GOV. GEORGE W. BUSH, R- PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: If people are happy with the status quo in Washington, then vote for Al Gore. If people are happy with Al Gore and Bill Clinton, and the tone theyve set for America, then youve got a perfect person to vote for.
What had begun as a gradual shift in the last few days, took a sharp turn today, as the GOP frontrunner set his sites squarely on the Vice President who had already landed a few punches of his own.
Last night Al Gore dug into Bushs tax plan, playing off recent stock market jitters to label it risky.
AL GORE, D-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE We need to build on our record of prosperity, we dont need to go back to where we were 8 years ago.

The shift in tenor all but leaves out last nights losers. The first casualty of the numbers was Bill Bradley who didnt carry a SINGLE state.
Aids say he will likely announce tomorrow, that he is dropping out of the race and putting his support behind Al Gore.
That leaves all eyes focused on the last remaining underdog. McCain -- the man who couldn't resist a camera before did so today. Silently making his way to his desert hideaway to consult with his staff.
He has few options either spend what little money he has left on a spat of primaries where Bush is heavily favored, or drop out of the race all together.
Either way, he has said he will remain a Republican, and in the end, support whoever the party deems its nominee. COWAN: But that is going to be difficult. George W Bush has said there is plenty of time to heal the wounds left behind after a nasty campaign. But Al Gore wants McCain supporters just as much as Bush does. How the rift is handled may determine who gets the votes. Lee Cowan, CBS News, Washington.))
