The race for the white house is taking on a whole new look.
Bill Bradley this morning officially dropped out of the contest and endorsed his former opponent.
And at this hour John McCain is meeting with reporters to announce he's putting his campaign on hold.
Today's events follow the Super Tuesday knockout blows by Al Gore and George W. Bush.
Lee Cowan joins us from Washington with the latest.

The maverick Republican whose insurgent campaign had come so close
to toppling the Party favorite is dialing back after being battered at
the polls.
Sen. John McCain cancelled campaign appearances in Illinois and
Colorado and after meeting with his advisors at his desert hide-away
in Arizona, will announce what his aides are calling a suspension to the
campaign.
But it is not, they caution, an all out departure.
After carrying only four states on Super Tuesday, his options were
grim: he could either stay it, get out, or possibly even run as an
Independent.
That is unlikely instead, McCain has indicated he is more willing
to say in the fight for campaign finance reform as a Republican --
even if it means doing it from the sidelines.
