((It was the school shooting that capped off a terrible season of violence in school yards all across the country.
Two teenage gunmen had enough time and enough amunition to kill 12 of their classmates and one teacher, before finally ending it all with a bullet for themselves.
Now, after a year-long investigation into the Columbine massacre, Colorado detectives say they've ruled out one outstanding myth: that the two teens -- Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold -- had an accomplice.
A report published Sunday in the Denver Post quotes sources that confirm Police acounted for every bullet fired, every victim shot, and by whom.
The conclusion: the two killers were the only ones repsonsible.

((sot: Steve Davis/Jefferson County Sheriff's Dept.))

The report is based on thousands of interviews and pieces of evidence gathered since the attack last April. But some of the victim's families are outraged it was leaked to the media before they had a chance to review it in private.

((sot: ))

COWAN ON CAM: "For those same families, the report serves as little comfort -- but at least it is ONE answer to a crime, they say, that still leaves so many questions. Lee Cowan, CBS Nes, Washington." ))
