Several Campbell County high school students went home early today because they thought a fellow student had a gun.

It was students who said a classmate brought a gun to school today.
But the principal says none of these students heard this directly from the boy. School officials searched the student's backpack and locker and found nothing. Still, some students called their parents and were allowed to leave early.
