Gasoline prices are the highest they've ever been... fueled by BIG increases. In Virginia, they rose 17 cents last month alone.

The Triple-A reports the average price of self-serve regular in Virginia is now a dollar-48 a gallon, a record high.
That represents a jump of 57-cents since LAST March, a record one-year increase.
The nationwide average is a dollar-54, and that is 16 cents higher than the old record.

What used to be just a foolish prank is now getting some Lynchburg students in serious trouble.
Today, another teenager pled guilty to phoning in bomb threats to two Hill City schools.

A Bedford County deputy is being credited with helping prevent a possible tragedy earlier this month.
Deputy Preston Reynolds was patrolling near Smith Mountain Lake when he found a four- year- old girl walking along the road alone.
The girl had wandered off from her home where her grandparents had fallen asleep while caring for her.
