The Reform Party may have a new leader by the end of the week.
A federal judge in Lynchburg will decide who's in charge of the party later this week.
The case stems from a raucous party meeting in Nashville last month.
Allies of Reform Party founder Ross Perot were returned to power at the meeting.
But ousted chairman John Gargan and treasurer Ronn Young contend they're still the rightful heads of the organization.
At stake is nearly two million dollars in funding from the Federal Election Commission.

An effort is under way to save a group of Dan River Mills buildings in Danville.
The company planned to demolish the 13 buildings after closing them in 1996.
But preservationist Scott Burton proposed converting the buildings into an entertainment hub with museums, restaurants, condos and office space.
The plan is modeled after a successful mill redevelopment project in Massachusetts.
Burton's development group is securing financial backing for the 60-million dollar project.
