A Shawsville man was killed this morning in a head-on collision.

The accident happened shortly before 9:30 on Alleghany Springs Road.
State police say 77-year-old Julius Sisson veered over the center line after he waved at a neighbor... and hit an oncoming truck. Sisson died at the scene.
A man and his 12-year-old son in the truck were not seriously injured.

The 21-year-old Virginia Tech student declined to comment on her case.

Police found the baby boy's body wrapped in plastic bags inside her apartment complex dumpster nearly three weeks ago.
A medical examiner ruled that the baby was stillborn.

But a program in Bedford County is having a lot of success cleaning up the web. As a result, the people behind Operation Blue Ridge Thunder are getting some national exposure.
