A shooting at a Henry County convenience store sends a teenager to the hospital.
It happened at about one clock yesterday when the owner of B-G's Express on Route 58 and Carver Road was showing a 15 year old male a 9 millimeter gun.
Investigators say the owner pulled the trigger thinking the gun was NOT loaded and shot the teenager in the shoulder.
He was taken to Martinsville Memorial and later released.
The owner has been charged with reckless handling of a fire arm and shooting inside an occupied building.

Energy Secretary Bill Richardson predicts that gas prices could drop by as much as eleven cents a gallon by the end of September and another 18 cents by the end of the year.
But for now motorists are paying at the pump.
And so are some convenience store owners.

Joy Sutton explains.

It's been more than 100 years since a major earthquake has rocked the southeastern United States, Still two Virginia Tech researchers have established an earthquake engineering center. The researchers believe that if a large earthquake hit the region, the scene would look much like last summer in Turkey, when 18-thousand people were killed. That's because buildings in the region have similar designs.
Earthquakes have shook the Southeast in the past. One in Charleston, South Carolina in 1886 reached an estimated seven-point-three on the Richter scale and caused damage from Richmond to Atlanta.
