The two fugitives from Tennessee who led authorities on a three-day crime spree remained in the hospital today.
Both Angela Tanner and Dennis Lewis had consumed Valium tablets before the stand-off and hostage situation ended peacefully late last night.

It's created a new bill paying service which allows customers to log onto an internet site to pay their bills electronically.
The system has two levels of service. One lets you make up to 20 payments a month for six dollars. Each additional payment is 40 cents.
The other plan costs two dollars a month, but you have to spend 40 cents for each payment.
New customers get their first six months free AND they don't have to lick any stamps or envelopes.

A Miami jury has awarded three ailing smokers more than 12-million dollars in damages- aftert deciding that smoking caused their cancer.
The awarding of damages clears the way for a possible multi-BILLION dollar punitive verdict later.
The same jury found in July that the Tobacco industry fraudulently conspired to produce a dangerous, addictive product that caused 29 illnesses, including cancer and heart disease.

The Roanoke County Health Department says so far all samples taken from the victims have come back positive for Norwalk virus. Three of those tested yesterday were food service employees.
The Norwalk virus is a highly contagious disease easily transmitted through food. Symptoms include severe diarrhea, vomiting and a fever. The health department says the virus was passed to customers from a sick Steak and Ale employee.

About 100-thousand of the Fisher Price 3-in-1 Cradle Swings are being recalled.
The comnpany is recalling it's "Bounce-N-Play Activity Dome because it may collapse and suffocate an infant.
And K-Mart is recalling 280 thousand children's lamps because they pose a fire hazard.
The Little One's wooden lamps comes in six different styles: an airplane, the alphabet, a numbers lamp, a baseball bat, a train and a sailboat lamp.

Phyllis Hodges volunteered to become a living banana split for radio station Q-99.
She tried to get tickets the traditional way, but when that failed Hodges decided to get extreme.
Still she managed to keep her cool as the dee-jays dumped ice cream, bananas, syrup, whipped cream and cherries on her.
While it may have been messy, at least Hodges got her just desserts AND her free tickets to the concert.
