Authorities say 18-year old Ronnie Lee Anderson Junior crossed the double yellow line and hit a pickup truck head-on.

A nine year old boy who was hit by a van died this evening.
The accident happened last night on Southland Drive in Danville.
William Hill was riding his bike beside the curb when he turned into the path of a van riding along side him.
Police tell us they will not charge the driver at this time.
The driver and the little boy were neighbors.

Police now have a suspect in a Martinsville murder, but they haven't been able to find him.
Marcus Leroy Stockton is charged with first degree murder for the shooting death of 29-year old Patrick Allen White.
White was found dead outside the Rivermont Apartments Saturday.

Roanoke County officials say any plans to charge for ambulance service are "on the shelf," for now.
Last month, a majority of the Supervisors said they couldn't support the idea unless the county's volunteer rescue squads approved.
Tonight County Administrator Elmer Hodge confirmed that the plan will NOT be part of next year's budget.
The board also heard a request for ten new paid positions at Mount Pleasant and Back Creek, two Fire and E-M-S stations where volunteers are not available during the day.

((The ladies linksters were dressed to kill in more ways at one as they quickly proved that it is possible to mix linen with titanium. Some created their outfits with a round of imagination and some help from and thrift shops and the costume division of Roanoke opera. But no one got into the swing of things more than Lita Hunt. ((LITA HUNT:)) ((MARILYN DONATO:)) Despite initial appearances, the outfits were nearly as restrictive as they appeared to be. But these 21st century women weren't taking any chances. Pie is not just on faces, but hands, feet and more in the worlds biggest custard pie fight.
It took just three minutes- to fling three thousand, three-hundred and twelve pies in the air.
The stunt was masterminded by a Swedish internet games company to coincide with its launch of a British website.
All 20 pie slingers earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
