Martinsville Police have a suspect in custody in connection with the murder of 29 year old Patrick Allen White.
22-year old Marcus Leroy Stockton turned himself in. He's charged with first degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police found White lying on the ground at the Rivermont Apartments with numerous gun shots Saturday. White later died at Martinsville Memorial Hospital.

Two Amherst men have been charged with trespassing and bringing a gun onto the grounds of Amherst County High School.
Thomas Edward Cashwell and Karlos Antoine Jones.. both 22.. were arrested yesterday.
Authorities say the pair had been trying to visit friends at the school when they were asked to leave several times.
A search of their vehicle turned up a small caliber handgun.
Sheriff Jimmy Ayers says there's "no" evidence the two men intended to bring the gun into the school.

The Governor has pledged 4-and-a half million dollars for the National D-Day Memorial.
But the Foundation is still accepting donations.

Students at Hidden Valley Junior High school made their own contribution to the memorial being built in Bedford.
For the past few weeks these students have given up sodas and snacks and pooled their pocket change.
They collected 325 dollars to honor the soldiers who landed on the beaches in Normandy.
