Roanoke County officials have apparently put plans to charge for ambulance service on hold.
Last month, a majority of the Supervisors said they couldn't support the idea unless the county's volunteer rescue squads approved.
Last night, County Administrator Elmer Hodge confirmed that the plan will NOT be part of next year's budget.
The board also heard a request for ten new paid positions at Mount Pleasant and Back Creek.
