He's spent time as city manager in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina as well as Virginia. He's a native of the Commonwealth.... and married, with 3 daughters. He grew up in Portsmouth and says he wanted to return to his home state.

Improving Danville is his goal and right now. His number one challenge is bringing jobs to Danville. In his first major move as city manager, he recently brought Danville's development council under his direct leadership. It's an organization that recruits businesses to the area.
